Unbelievable! I missed it, damn. Wouldn't you know it, my live stream conks out just at the end of regulation. I missed extra time and the penalties! Now there's a conspiracy!

Turkey - Croatia was almost like one of those American movies where the team is near hopeless for 120 minutes and then scores in the very last second while the referee has the whistle on his lips ready to end the match.

Unbelievable.

Guus Hiddink, AKA the master tactician has done a good job getting his team ready for this match.

I still take the dutch to go through - if they get one goal, the russians will leave themselves open to the counter at some point...

Edit to add - extra time now, great game, and a superb decision by the ref NOT to send off the russian.

By superb, I mean he had the courage to change his mind after consulting with the linesman, even if he linesman appears to have got it wrong.

WOW, well played russia - hiddink got his tactics spot on and out hussled, out muscled and outplayed the dutch.

Van Basten played his cards too early and was too rigid with his system - he got outfoxed by a master.

Edit...In extra time now. As usual the Italians are playing a boring style. All defense, little on the attacking side of things. Still, they'll probably win as Spain can't do much either.

First the Netherlands get booted out of Euro 2008; and now it seems that the Netherlands Antilles are going to get booted out of the World Cup 2010. Dude just scored in his own goal.

On paper, I'd have to go for a spain/germany final - but those russkies really came through in the last match.

I guess we'll see if it was a one off, or if they can reproduce that level of performance

Turkey were a little lucky, and aren't a great side, but they have a great "never say die" attitdue.

Time will tell.

Spain pulled it out, I'm surprised as well. But Italy didn't deserve to win IMO they just play too defensive; a really boring style designed put everyone to sleep. Seriously, when was the last time Italy was involved in an exciting game?

I think Germany will beat Turkey easily. Turkey will be without a number of starters and I think if they win it will be the upset of the century.

spain and germany was your prediction. Good job budski. Turkey doesnt stand a chance against germany and spain is long overdue for some euro success. Chances are, BOTH of the teams you bet on will be in the finals.

You never know with turkey, your right, but you know football, they only have to play one good game to beat them, you never know what to expect with football.

I wouldn't be sure about spain winning after russias performance with holland! I thought holland would embarrass them, but instead it was the opposite.

I think this can go both ways. But your right it most likley will go the way you said, but I would not be that sure

I don't mind if they win thou, it would be a great accomplishment for them, and a nice change, very good job if they do.

I'm gonna support them haha, even thou they probably won't win. I just like supporting the least likley and then feel the excitment when they actually win, lol it's like "wow"
