Counter Strike Source - Wont Work on VISTA!!!

Hey all, got CS source (had it for ages really!) and tried to put it on my comp with vista, yet it wont work! every time i enter a server it freezes, some times wont enter at all! Never did this with XP...is there a patch i can get for compatability or is it just not compatibile?

Are you using steam? Did you check the requirements on the box?

It crashes on my vista, blue screen, the lot.
I played it to death though a long time ago and I'm not that bothered but i'm just letting you know your not the only one.

Are there any more of us out there?

im on steam, heard i need to do some thing for compatibilty in vista? any help?

its workers perfect for me and im using vist home premium 64-bit

perhaps its some kind of driver issue?

Try asking on the Steam forums, there probably is something wrong with your steam application.

It's freaking vista. Nothing works right on vista. Sorry to say I can't offer any kind of technical advice wish I could only time I ever played counterstrike was at the cafes

VISTA works just fine...it just takes some getting used to

Right click on the shortcut for CS:Source

go to properties

select the 'compatibility' tab
make sure you check the box 'run this program in compat mode for version: WinXp Sp2'

Also make sure you check "run as administrator" down at the bottom.
