Yet, the telephone for all its annoyances, connects the world and were it not for the telephone infrastructure, the internet would have never been
impossible.
Clearly, the telephone is one of the greatest inventions, not because of the ways it's abused, but because it facilitates so well one of the most
important necessities of society: communication.
By the way, Alexander Graham Bell is credited with the invention of the telephone.

Current inventions are locktight for nuts and bolts and dangerous hand held laser pointers.
