Can I get an applause from the mods?

I didn't imply anything, YOU made the implication. Possibly because it's what you want to see and not what's actually there.

Go back and reread what I wrote and you'll see that I nowhere meant that leaving him for a black man was worse than leaving him for a white man.

Funny how you cant say 'black man' in a thread without racist accusations being made

Suppose that monkey smiley is racist too

It's as racist as you make it.

A man can only be defined by his actions.

Can't take life too seriously, it'll eat you alive.

Technically, you implied, I inferred.

His appearance as in his being black.

It's just something else we can use to put that "significant other" further into the ground.

His appearance you mean. So his being black is something you can use to drill her deeper into the ground.

It's pretty obvious that there is some level of racism behind this. (Not Klan type racism, but maybe clutching your purse when passing a black person type racism) Maybe it stems from Jedi feeling that he's been outdone by someone who is supposed to be 'below' him in some way on a social ladder, or maybe it's something else, but if it didn't matter that he was black, it wouldn't have been mentioned.

Or maybe you're looking in the wrong rabbit hole.

I don't think I'm the racist one here. I took what jedi said I didn't racism in it, nor did I see any truth, I just saw a disgruntled man trying to vent much needed heat and stress through words.

Take it as you wish.

I'm glad Jedi found some way in being able to put his frustration into words so that it doesn't build up in him. Because words are words without meaning until you give it meaning. But words can act as radiators without that specific meaning behind them, I know, I've experienced it all my life as short as that has been.

I'm done here.

Jedi,

Sounds to me like you didn't really forgive her, you just used the funeral to make a final biting comment at a time where she was vulnerable. And, because your mother recently passed, you knew she couldn't fight back.

Add to that the implication that she should feel more shame for his being black.

Far from applaudable if you ask me.

She wanted to have kids, remember? You said you never wanted them-so she left. You said she left b/c you only paid attention to Star Wars and spent your money and time on that and not on her.
I think there is more to the story than you are letting on-plus, calling her a "fat dog" is not very nice-you yourself said your doctor told you to lose weight yourself and get your 256 cholesterol down-pot...kettle...black...and all those stones and glass houses. You need to let it go man. 10 years? Self improvement and reflection first. Namaste!

Well Jedi, you know what they say?

"Once you go black you never go back."

By the way, sorry about your mom.

OK, I think I might want to apologize for taking the 'black man' thing to heart. I had an experience with my girlfriend's family that really stuck with me. Her father is very against her dating me, and would prefer that she go back to her 'white' ex-boyfriend (with a drinking problem).

I consider myself to be very intelligent (Mensa member actually) I have a great job and am within spitting distance of a 6 figure salary at the age of 26. I'm continuing my education at an Ivy League school and have traveled the world managing and building my company's IT infrastructure. So I'm doing pretty well, and I consider myself a trade up from that POS that she used to date.

Her father made it a point to say to my face that he doesn't think a black man would fit into his family very well, so he recommended that I sort of 'fade away'. And, he insists that I am just a phase for my girlfriend, even though we've now been dating for 5 years.

So, when someone says something as ignorant as
"I forgive you for leaving me for a black man" I just see massive ignorance and personal insult.

Ras

Jedi-

By the way, not racist. just that she always said, "I'll never have sex with a black guy."

I believe you didn't mean it in a racist way. Also, sorry to hear about the passing of your mom.

The only thing I wonder about is your "fat dog" comment. Are you in great shape yourself? You know what they say... the more meat the better the treat.

raso: you do what you and your girlfriend want. her parents should have little more than a suggestive influence in your relationship. if her father can't see that you're a hard-working intelligent guy just because you're black then his opinion is not worthy of your consideration.

All I can say is, wow. Why in the world would you even mention the fact she left you for a black man, if not looking for Attention?

way to throw in that backhanded insult (fat dog), really makes it seems like you are over her...

The racist comment was just the cherry on top. Kudos, Jedi. Well done.

Thanks an0maly,

Not to derail this thread, but we basically ignore him because he wears his prejudice on his sleeve. We can't take him seriously, much like the OP.

Yep, JediTroll is routinely, purposely controversial and offensive, glad everybody is getting that.

But not all Jedis are like that, honestly! honestly!

Oh come on guys! i'm not racist at all. She's the one that said this when we were married. "I'll never have relations with a black man". So she's the racist not me.

Anyways, how come no applause so far? I think that calling your ex wife a fat dog calls for one!
