A couple of weeks ago i noticed a high pitched tone that seems like its being transmitted from the left part of my brain, Im fairly healthy and ride a
bike a couple of times a week.
But 4 days ago i woke up with some hearing loss in my right ear, I even tried warm water and a piece of tissue paper as i thought it was wax build up
but that didnt really do the trick.
anyone else had this?
I think i need to get this checked out....

Have you exposed yourself to loud noises like a concert or an airplane. Because that happened to me after i went to a tool concert, never the less you
should definitly get it checked out

no, i havnt really listened to any loud music or been in contact with any loud stuff recently or been in contact with any loud noises or
airplanes/deep sea diving/high altitude.

I'd definitely get it checked out. It sounds like tinnitus, but the cause is not clear. Your doctor might find you have impacted ear wax, which is
not going to come out with just warm water. It's happened to me before.

Dar Kuma, are you familiar with Chiropractic? There is some anecdotal evidence that a problem in your cervical spine could affect your hearing.
There is little if any scientific evidence that supports this, but if all other options are exhausted and you still have no relief it would at least
be worth a shot to see a Chiropractor. There are about 2,000 Chiropractors in the U.K., so one might be hard to find but not impossible.
For full disclosure, I am Chiropractor here in the U.S. I would not make the claim that a neck problem affects hearing because that wouldn't be
"evidence-based", but if treatment for an diagnosable neck condition improved hearing then I would take that as icing on the cake so-to-speak.
Like I stated before there is anecdotal evidence that a Chiropractor could help your hearing, but since there is little published scientific research
I would keep this as last option to fall back on if tradition treatment doesn't work.
Disclaimer: My opinion here is in no way to be construed as medical advice, just unofficial opinion only. Take that for what its worth.

thanks to all who posted in this thread, the hearing in my right ear has returned with no medical intervention, so i dont really know why it
happened?
