Do any of you people know what the "UCMJ" is?
It is called the Uniform Code of Military Justice and is the law of the military. You don't have a freedom of speech in the military and in some
cases you don't speak till you're spoken to and only when you ask for permission to speak. After reading this article it is plane as day to me why
this guy got himself into trouble and his being an atheist had NOTHING to do with it.
Known as "the atheist guy," Hall has been called immoral, a devil worshipper and -- just as severe to some soldiers -- gay, none of which, he
says, is true. Hall even drove fellow soldiers to church in Iraq and paused while they prayed before meals
you got called a lot worse in boot camp but I don't see him crying about that.
It eventually came out in Iraq in 2007, when he was in a firefight. Hall was a gunner on a Humvee, which took several bullets in its protective
shield. Afterward, his commander asked whether he believed in God, .
Now why on earth would he ask him that? Did he ask anyone else? is this a question he asks all those taking a couple bullets to their humvee sheild or
just out of the blue he asks THIS guy on THIS day who just HAPPENS to be an Atheist. Yeah riiight. Sounds to me like this guy was doing the same
thing I see so many atheists do here on these boards which would have elicited the question coming from the commander in the first place.
Anotherwords he was talking smak about christianity but how convenient not to mention it. How do I know? Because I spent 6 years in the military and
know no commander would have just asked me such a question out of the blue but even if one did,, THE LAST thing I would have done is been a smart
aleck to a commander like this insubordinate atheist did when he was asked "do you believe in God a simple yes sir or no sir is what is expected from
you and he answered "No, but I believe in Plexiglas"
I suppose he might have even got a few to chuckle at his this stupid attempt at jocularity but trust me, it would have been very muffled and under
their breath. You don't have freedom of speech and civil liberties in the military the same way you do in civilian life and all the harrassment
this Atheist has gotten he brings on himself.
No one with Fort Riley, the Army or that Defense Department would comment about Hall or the lawsuit. Each issued statements saying that
discrimination will not be tolerated regardless of race, religion or gender.
Since he doesn't have a religion and Atheists claim they are NOT a religion then I fail to see how he could have been discriminated against according
to his religion.
"It's just about time somebody said something."
How about just saying what is asked of you and not be a smart aleck
This whole story is just more poor me bunk by Atheist trying to make a mountain out of the mole hill they themselves create in cases like this
