Quick and easy to throw together.
I want to eventually experiment with different
pie fillings and cake mixes.
4 cups miniature marshmallows, (about 3/4 of a 10-1/2 ounce package)
1 package (18-1/4 ounces) yellow cake mix
1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 13x9x2-inch baking
pan with vegetable cooking spray. Lay the marshmallows evenly
over the bottom of the pan. Prepare the cake mix according to
the package directions. Pour the batter over the marshmallows.
Spoon the cherry filling evenly over the cake batter. Remove pan from
oven and cool on wire racks. After the cake is cool, cut into squares

Sounds good, but give credit where credit is due, it's Sonja's recipe.

I never claimed it was mine and I can't give credit when
I don't know where I got it from. I do know I didn't get it
from the site you posted.
Who know's if it's even Sonja's recipe?

It's very tasty and the best part is that you don't have to
frost it. The marshmallows bubbly up to the top and make
a gooey crust like coating.
I find something the birthday boy/girl likes and try to
decorate the cake with that theme.

Hi Supr,
I will be making this cake today!
I bought everything yesterday for it, and guessed the ingredients so, I am using white cake mix, instead of yellow! hehe

Hi SuprDupr. Sounds really good and I want to make it. One question, do you bake it according to the cake mix package as far as how long?
Thanks, Rush
