Get Your Drink On

Topic started on 8-4-2008 @ 09:52 PM by SuprDupr

Looking for a good adult beverage for your next social get together.
Try this mix...very smooth tasting but watch out or it will sneak up on ya!

Whiskey Slush

Make strong tea with 4 tea bags and 2 cups of water.
Place tea in a large open bowl and add:
7 cups boiling water
1 12oz can frozen lemonade
1 12oz can orange juice
1 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups blended whiskey (Black Velvet is best)

Mix all ingredients together until well blended. Place in freezer for 24 hours.
To serve place several scoops in a glass and add 7up, club soda, etc.

Or you can cut to the chase, scrap the pop and just eat it from the cup like a snowcone. lol
I swear I am not a lush , it's just so good I hate to dilute it.

Could be a frozen version of one? I'm not sure what all is in a Whiskey Sour.

Yuck to the guinness. I don't care for any type of beer, lager, ale etc.
And I especially do not like to chug it!

a whiskey sour is just basically a drink that consists of whiskey and sweet and sour mix

but as for the irish car bomb...it really doesnt taste much like beer at all, like i said it tastes alot like chocolate. I like dark beer myself but personally ive never liked guiness just way overrated in my opinion

Sounds good and everything. But I never understood why girls like hard liquour drinks. I used to drink tequila when I was younger and now I puke at the smell of it. I only drink light beer now. Guess I can't compare to those heavy drinkers out there.

You can't really taste the hard liquor in this mix. It's very
mellow. Other than this mix I usually stick to WoodChuck hard cider.

Sounds good OP, I will remember this one next time im at the local liquor store. Warm weather is comin up fast here so frozen drinks are going to become more frequent

I enjoy different drinks depending on the location.

Say for example im standing on a hot beach, I always go for the Corona, pina colada, or rum punch.

However, if im just kickin back, chillin with my friends, I always grab the closest beer but prefer a Bass

Red wine is great with a good dinner on a cold night

Im still not a fan of many liquors when its served straight up, such as martinis. Maybe in due time..

Anyways, thanks for the recipe! Cheers

Sounds like a good Mix! I will have to try it out this summer!! I'm not really a whisky fan, but if you can't taste it...why not try it!? I have a recipe with Malibu Mango Rum, that I usually make, but I'll try this out at the next Summertime Party!
