i had a big argument with my english tutor today cos she thinks that the idea of finding someone perfect for u is far too idealistic and a ridiculous
philosophy. this kinda upsets me because for some reason i like to believe that somewhere in the world among the billions and billions of people there
are a handful that are absolutely perfectly suited to you. she said i was bein stupid. u gotta have hope though... has anyone here found their
soulmate? or do u think the idea is ridiculous?i'd really appreciate what u think... cos its stressin me out for no reason. i mean why would is ther
such a big deal about love it it doesnt really exist n only a deep liking exists.... valentines day? thats gotta mean somethin.. maybe its just for
the commercial industries...

Sorry to say that I do not believe that there is another 'half' of you out there somewhere as it would indicate that one is not whole to begin
with.
Besides if I found someone that was just like me, we would have to kill each other like those Japanese fighting fish. There can be only one!

I don't think you're ever really positive you've found your soulmate until you've lost him or her forever, thus debunking the whole destiny theory
unless you ascribe to predestined misery.

Now imagine KNOWING who your perfect match is, but both having agreed to move on for superficial secondary reasons. That's even more stressful than
wondering if he/she is out there. Knowing, but never having.

I am with my soulmate. I love my wife with all my heart and nothing can change that, or so it seems right now.
You see I have been married before and I thought she was the one too, albeit a very short period of time.

Perhaps it is the nilhist in me, but I believe that in a sense we are always alone; we are always trapped in our shells unable to truly know anyone
else because in order to do so, you would have to experience everything through the way that their mind works.
As far as your question about my prior relationships, the major ones are as follows: 5 years (even engaged), 2 years (lived together), 8 months and
the current one is going on 3 years and she is always over my apartment. At the time I thought that every one of them was love, but looking back most
of the relationships that I have had were about empty lust, obsession or comfort. Of course I love my current gf and there is one other that I will
always love, not in an emotional sense but instead I love her because of the exceptional person that she is.
I think that I answered your question. If not feel free to reword it.
And the killing myself thing was a joke; I realize that the other would not be an exact copy as then I would just be in love with me and I am sure as
hell not sharing me with anyone.

I don't think that you can ever really be sure. You may meet another that suits your needs perfectly and vise versa. The thing is that over time we
all grown and change into who we are becoming. People rarely change in the same way and towards the same goals.
Ya, I know...I'm a real upper, but that is just me.

actually thats quite logical... what u said about having to experience the way their mind works. sometimes when im somewhere really busy i think what
if i just walked past the person im supposed to be with! weirddddd. it is weird i think like this because every relationship iv been in or that iv
been exposed to in my family hasn't worked out...

Funny thing is that I don't even notice women anymore. I mean if one drops her top I'm going to notice, but sexually I don't notice women in public
anymore. Perhaps I am just getting too lazy.
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking.
