Topic started on 5-4-2008 @ 12:26 AM by semperfortis

Finally everyone can enjoy the wonderful world of Photoshop...

At this site, you can use an online version of Photoshop for free...

Photoshop Express

Now while it is limited and has no where near the controls and functions of say.. CS, it is handy and free and you can store up to 2GB of photos...

I have "The Gimp" but...

It has a couple of disadvantages to this online site...

First and foremost, it has a HUGE learning curve, second it is not online...

You can access this site from anywhere, on any computer with an Internet connection..you can alter, fix or change and delete your photos from anywhere.... I see that as a really BIG advantage...

Plus the 2GB storage is pretty cool..

Links are always welcome!!!!

I'm pretty good with PS.... Been using it for a few years now.. I have CS2, been tossing around getting 3, but I heard it has some problems...

Gimp is really nice, but with PS, I see no reason for me to "relearn" another program, know what I mean?

Well a good start
would be the forum
(they just changed stuff around lately)

first

videos

Video tuts

first two links out of a bunch I have on Gimp
converting knowledge from PS to gimp is not really hard and most
tuts from gimp work with PS (hopefully the online version)

When I sort out the best of my links I'll send em over

I just got photoline the other day. Its pretty basic but I think you can get addons for it. I like it though, it seems a lot like photoshop 7

In 1998 I bout v6 for my web development and I still haven't upgraded. I guess I'm too stubborn to do so. It cost me 100 bucks and I know every aspect of that old version. I'll check out the site you listed.

Thanks for the link bro!

Hey Semper. I know this is a kind of old thread, but I've been looking for something like this. Hopefully it is easy to use, I'm not the brightest when it comes to anything technical, but I'm gonna mess around with it.

Thanks.

I messed around with it a good bit and it seemed easy to me, but I also use Photoshop CS2 at work...

It's free anyway and fun...
