PODOLYANTSI, Ukraine (AP) — Leonid Stadnik's phenomenal height has forced him to quit a job he loved and to stoop as he moves around his house.

Wow. From a strictly academic perspective, that's fascinating. A few others have had this condition before, but it's incredibly rare. It is also,
unfortunately, ultimately fatal, which is sad, since the impression I got from the article is that this guy is a really nice fellow. If I remember
right from what I've read about this kind of thing, these people don't usually make it past 40s or 50s; the body just isn't meant to grow that big,
and various health problems creep in.
I'm glad so many people have chipped in to show support for him. I wonder if the NBA would consider drafting him...!
