Anyone in the Mid West?

<<  1    2    3    4  >>

Topic started on 16-3-2008 @ 07:34 PM by antar

I was just wanting to invite any atsers/btsers/ptsers to my place this June for a weekend get together.
I am planning it for the last part of June as the berries will be ripe and the lightningbugs will abound.
I am hoping for some forum specialists to come and do demonstrations of their skills and abilities, lecture, what ever they can bring to the table.
So far the response has been terrific and I have even managed to have someone from our survival forum plan to give lessons in basic archery technique, bugout bag preparedness and discuss basic survival skills.
One other member is an expert chef and will be manning the BBQs and giving tips on food prep and culinary secrets.
It will be casual and the evenings will be filled with bonfires, music, and just relaxing and getting acquainted.
If you play an instrument bring it! If you have a specialty share it!
I will attempt to have several computers set up for the weekend so that everyone can be online as much as they want.
There is plenty of room on my property so bring your tents and plan to come and enjoy a weekend of learning and fun.
I live about 40 miles No. of Springfield Missouri, thats about 2 1/2 hours So. of Kansas City.

This is an awesome idea Antar!

Thanks for opening up your corner of the world to host a get together for this community.

It won't be too hard for me to attend since we are practically neighbors!

I am really looking forward to this event, I suppose I had better be working on a specialty!!!

I nominate you to do the pod cast live from the event

As for foods we can discuss preserving options root cellars and dehydrating meats and fruits. We might even be able to build a earthen oven to make pizzas all we need is mud!

My apologies to the members and staff, with all the busyness in that pic a I didn't see where the one female had her top open showing her tatas.j
I never would have posted that had I noticed that.

Thanks for catching it before it offended others.

Did the punishment include removal of my avatar elevatedone?
I wrote this apology before I got the personal scolding from elevated one in my u2u box. As I said before it was an oversite on my part totally unintentional.

Now back to the topic on hand.

Are we getting more participants antar?

Boobs? Well, NTW(Not to worry) I will u2u you soon and we can talk more , as for more not yet since we last spoke, so far its you and me and about 6 confirmed and a possible couple more from Canada.
It will be quality not quantity. But then who knows. It is still early and anything can happen between now and the end of June. I will just be glad to connect with local forum members and anyone else that may decide to come or is passing through. I do throw one heck of a backyard get together.

What a sweetie, Antar.

I am really looking forward to June.

The pic was a 60 style hippie van and had several people around, including 3 females on the top of the van, I hadn't noticed that the one with the full body white pantsuit had a v split in her boob area that didn't cover them, maybe she needed some sun!

Hope all is well for you.j

I am presently at a crossroads in my life, I hope Hecate has pity on me!

I own acreage not far from you.

I am hoping to visit this summer. I am usually there in April... but budget is tight and responsibility high at the moment on the Gulf Coast. I'm pretty sure my wife can't travel at all this summer...she's locked into a new job so I'm going to have to talk a friend into going "camping" with me if I want to split... we've only got one truck down here.

I really do need to make a presence on my land this year... clear the leaves and such; its not yours unless you tend it.

perhaps if it is in the stars, I'll get to stop in...

oh and interestedalways.... thats about my vision too.

Oracle

I personally am interested in colloidal silver. I don't have lot's of information on it, but what I have read intrigues me.

Long term storage of bulk foods will be very important for our future survival I would think.

Oh, and I love mean brownies!
