Just wanted to know, what are yall thoughts about creatine, the good & bad sides of it, and I'd really appreciate input of people with first hand experience, but others are also welcome to share their opinions.

Good stuff, I enjoy posting stuff like this........

Creatine... ahhh, wonderful stuff... I still have two bottles I need to use...

I was on it back in high school and since I was rowing and working out "everyday" or every other, I started taking this #, my god..... What an awesome body i got...

I started lifting 20 then 30, then 40 lbs in my arms, and im a chick.. So totalling it up i was lifting 80 lbs doing bench press, my arms were so tight, I had great definition in my upper body.....

I started getting a 6 pack.. Started with 2, then 4 and all of a sudden I had the lower abdominals pop up, and thought daaamnn, do I look good or what...

My legs were tight, i got a fat test and they said I was 5% away from being "elite athlete" 5% away and I stopped working out, I thought I would always have that body........ wrong!

Creatine -----------twice a day, I started off with mixing it with plain water (yuck) but hey, it works.

Drink it at work, go home get your # on go to the gym and do some weights and cardio...
I used to take it while I worked out too...

I drank it at school and at the gym. 3 times a day I did it.

I had no negative affects....... just a super duper bod..

Try mixing it with some sugerless juice...

powerade has salt and sugar in it, if u mix that with water so you water it down some the creatine wont taste like sand...

Let me know, it also comes in pill form, I thought those tasted like I had hairin my mouth... pretty nasty, but to each his own.. u might not experience that.

gnc carries it, as well as nutrition house...

Also don't forget your Protein!!! Very important, have more protient then carbs.......

another helpful hint.... don't go overboard with that stuff. You'll start seeing change within a week..

good luck

Dont use it unless you work out all time and really want to increase muscle mass.

If you work out 5 times a week and are already tone then go for it.

If you have fat on your body and do not work out very often it will make you fatter.

Basically it adds gurth - you need to work that into muscle. You should go low fat high protien instead.

I also want to say that if you are a bit on the pudgy side

try half a pill of therma burn or ignition...

They are fat burning pills... Best taken ifyou do cardio, weight lifting sucks if u just do that alone...

Cardio, then do some weights...

Once u tone up I recommend some creatine..

Get off the fat burners after... Drink lot's of water..
You'll pee alot, but thats ok...
Kind of a pain in the ass but just think of it as one step closer to your goal.

I already drink over 2 L. of waters a day, eat very low fat & very high protein. My problem is gaining weight/muscle. I eat 3 regular meals a day, plus 2 meal substitute really high in protein.

Just this weekend, when I went raving, I lost 10 lbs!!!
form friday night too sunday morning, I haven't eated anything except 2 meal subsitute (in form of shake)

That's why I want to try creatine, to gain some weight.

I already got rid of the fat excess I had, months ago, with fat burners and jogging routine.

The only bad side I know to creatine is, if you stop working out, you'll lost what you gainged.

But is there any other side effect besides that? Even tho it can probably happen if you work out a lot and stop, even without creatine.

Sword Master

Some people will develop muscles more easily than other people, every people is different. You're lucky if you can do it easily, without any helping substance.

imo there is no other side effect...

There is nothing wrong with always working out...

In fact it's best if you always do it, it feels good...

You just got to get in the habit of it , it's like setting your alarm clock in the morning.. Except this makes you feel better about yourself...

I miss raving, I remember losing all that weight too, except for puking over balconies because I drank too much water and danced too fast.. lol. oh the memories.

I know!!! Lol...I should have never stopped. I stop a few day before the Christmas holiday... It seems I suddenly became lazy. But now I gotta get back a getting fit. At least I haven't waited too long, and haven't lost what I gained.

About raves, yeah, fun times... Amazing the weight you can lose by dancing countless hours in a row...

But it #s up your mind (the drugs) and it #s up my appetite for a day, and that I really hate that.

Does Creatine promot "fast fiber" muscle growth? Hopefully, soon, I'm going to join a gym so I can increase my vertical jump from 123" to 134" and beyond ... will creatine, with basic polymetrics and leg weight training help me? I can almost dunk, but not quite...

I can't take the stuff.
Yes, it will help you put on muscle mass, but the side effects aren't worth it.
With creatine: insane water retention, muscle cramps, upset stomach, slight strength increase.
Without: None of the above. Easier time working out due to no cramping & not feeling like a saturated sponge.

As with anything you put in your body, be careful and do your research.

Thanks Banshee !!! That's exactly what I was looking for. Will sure read up on that, as I said, I would really really like to have something that would help me gain mass/muscle faster, but so far the high protein diet I follow helped me, but not as I would have wanted to.

Kptrkptr

I don't think it would help you. It's really for raw muscle/mass gain. But again, I don't know much about it... But I think you're more looking for flexibility and speed, etc... Sure, increasing your strenght might help too, but you would have to take it moderatly, to not get too much bulky muscles.
