I am soooo happy and had to share this with you guys.
I went a whole year without wheels. I was sooo sick and tired of taking the bus, cabs, and rides from others (not that I didn't appreciate), and now
I have freedom!!! The last car I had, went back to the leasing company. Paid well over 18K to just 'use' their car, within a matter of 4
years. In the end, the car was returned, and I had nothing to show for. Don't you just hate that?
This time around, my car was bought and paid for. Free and clear! No more leases. No more bank loans.
We opted for a 2nd hander, the body, interior, pretty much everything, is in great to excellent condition. The dealer dropped a new motor; only
50,000 clicks - Waranteed for 1 yr.
Here it is:
1999 Saturn SL1 4 dr.
It looks like this model, but the exterior is grey/silver in color. Interior is dark grey.
The insurance cost only $628/yr.
I'm a VERY Happy!

Oh AD...I wish I had this puppy for the Nov 5th road trip last year. Remember when I told you I almost had the use of my brother's car for
that jaunt too? Woulda Coulda Shoulda.
Well now..... I just broke outta me shell!!!
I'd love to go on another road trip with ya babes! Yep Yep! I'm going to wait til the Spring. Why? LOOK out yer window. Nuff said. I certainly
don't want the two of us stranded anywhere...the weather is so unpredictable... don't blink, it'll change!
Plus the fact, I want to $ave up for a trip. Taking a trip with you, would be a BLAST! As well as the fact, we won't have to contend with
N***. Capeesh?

I get oil-changes done faithfully. Always had with any car that I owned. Even so with the transmission fluids from time to time.
I'm not quite the 'grease-monkey', but I've been known to be able to change brakes. Yep. You heard that right. As well as change tires
in record time. I love the 'hands-on' approach. Though I don't concider myself to be too mechanically inclined, I can get my hands dirty like
anyone else.
Mabey that's where my kids get it from. lololol Ask me bout the time my son 'literally' took apart my steering wheel when he was around the age
of 2? SNORT!
I know how to take care of things.

I envy you Ducky... I'm not allowed to drive on public roads because of some medical troubles. It can be a real pain in the nether regions. You'll
really like the Saturn some are still raced in SCCA club racing. I was impressed by Saturn dealerships the two or three times I've visited. Have fun
Ducky!

Congratulations
Being able to drive is such a wonderful sense of freedom!! And makes life so much easier sometimes too doesn't it. I was in a little worse shape
than you...I was terrified to drive and only got my license this past summer at the ripe old age of 33. What a different world it has been with that
freedom. And my kids aren't complaining either now that we don't have to schlep around on the bus.
