Thought I'd post some of the Avatars I've made in the last couple of weeks.
Hope you like
(You can use them if you like them that much!)
This last one is of the infamous Corey Delaney - nuisance kid of East Australia for throwing parties that required Police attention!
Thx

Wow, those are really good! I love the one with the cute little alien you did this morning.
I'm not in the market for a new avatar though, so some other lucky member can snap that one up - and someone will soon, I bet.

Thanks for the responses! Much appreciated!
Yes you're more than welcome to use that avatar - thats what they're there for hehe
Ok I will do a girly one (will try - never done one before)..
Thanks again
The metal backgrounds were done using "Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 - Impact' using the 'Brushed Metal' filter.
Ok better get back to it

Wow
You've been busy!
Nice work!
Very nice indeed!
Photoshop is my absolute favorite program.
Even for making simple animations...
Did you see my Halloween 2007 avatar?
Among other programs, the animation was composed using Photoshop layers.
Pretty silly, no?
Keep up the good work!

That Halloween Avatar is kick ass! How in the world did you make the animations?
I had no idea you could do it in Photoshop. Got a tutorial???
Would appreciate that to increase my knowledge in photoshop!
Cheers!

Wow nice work dude!
I actually really like the one your using ... Actually if you dont mind, could you make me one? Its up to you, but if you can could you do one with
the Australian Defence Force in it? Im not sure if you know anything about them, but i would like the camo colours - maybe as a background, with a
Australian SAS Soldier holding a F88? ALso i would like the ATS Logo in it with "Deny Ignorance".
For some idea's check the Australian Defence Force Website: Australian Defence Force
Like i said before its up to you. You dont have to if you dont want to.
Anyway thanks for sharing such great artwork.

Thanks!
It came in second in total votes for the competition.
It was created manually, and rather meticulously, in an older version of Photoshop, building each element both static and active on it's own layer,
and then showing the layers combined, depending on the stage in the action, and saving each frame out individually, one at a time, being careful to
name them sequentially.
Then you can use the actions palette to batch process the frames to an indexed color depth, with a custom color palette.
You then import the frames into gif-animating software and output the result as an animated gif.
My process requires a somewhat brain-numbing attention to detail, some would say tedious, but when it all comes together, it's worth it, IMHO.
The latest versions of Photoshop actually have an animation palette, and techniques using scripts to automate the process, somewhat.
Do a google of "making animations in photoshop" and there's all sorts of tutorials to help you along.
Have fun!
