Bellicheck knew his kicker, who has never kicked one longer than 52 yards, was probably not going to make it so he opted for an additional push on the 4th and long, with the hopes that his offense would, at the very least, move the ball a bit more and make it that much farther from the end zone for the Giants.

I'd have gone for it. He showed no confidence in his kicker and that could've backfired big time if the game came down to a long field goal. Imagine the added pressure on the guy when he comes in to kick a long field go and he knows his own coach thinks he can't make it.

This is the first time, as everybody knows, in Superbowl history that a team that went undefeated in the regular season and the playoffs lost in THE GAME. This was not, however the first time that it has happened in NFL history. Way back in 1934, the Chicago Bears went 13-0 in the regular season to earn a spot in the NFL Championship game, which they then lost 30-13. And the team that beat Chicago back then? Why, of course, THE NEW YORK GIANTS!!!!!! Coincidence? Lightning striking twice? Both in 1934 and in this years Superbowl, the Giants were longshots. In 1934, the NY Giants were 8-5. This year they were 10-6. Both seasons were improbable. Both victories were improbable, too. But them Giants did it both times.

With all due respect, how can a game contested by teams from only 2 countries be called the "World Series".

I'm not that big a fan of american "football" but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this game.

Yes, it was pretty low scoring, but that didn't affect the excitement one bit.

The only problem was it didn't finish til past 3am here.

Glad to see the underdog win - we don't get enough of that these days.
