Superbowl 2008

So who is everybody rootin for? Being a native New Yorker I'm goin with my favorite team, the Giants. I really hope Manning will keep up the good work he has been putting in. The Giants have had a really strong defense thats been keeping the pressure on QB's, hopefully they can keep it up as well. And well, I'm sure more than a few people would like to see the Patriots and their perfect season crushed.

Anybody have any bets riding on this game?

Who do you want to win?

Well, less than 3 hours till kickoff.

I want the Pats to win. I want a blowout. A shutout would be a nice added touch.

The Pats are heavily favored, but the team revolves around Brady. All it would take is one crushing hit to his knee or shoulder, and all bets are off. Perish the thought!

Regardless of who wins the game right now, you can't take away the effort the Giants have made in this game. They've done me proud. It is late in the 4th quarter and the Patriots are driving.

The biggest upset since the Jets upended the Colts in Superbowl history. NY Giants are World Champions with a 17-14 win. It's also the first time in NFL history that brothers have won the championship period, much less back to back. ELI MANNING FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

Nice of the Patriots leaving before the game is over.

Cheaters and whiners. And they suck. Can't count on them to do anything.

congratulations to the giants fans (from a patriot fan) you guys had a story-book season

defensive front four put pressure on Brady all day, he couldn't get into a steady rythem.

And i never though i'd say this , but you have a hell of a quarter back in Eli Manning. Last 5 weeks he has been on fire. Congratulations.

i am now going to puke.

Im a Jet fan, and the patriots losing was better than the giants winning. I said it from the beginning and you can see my post in the 'cowboys are regaining their dominance' thread. Dont count the Giants out. And everyone did, every game, even the members of ATS did. And EVERY team LOST except for the Giants. I'm so drunk and happy right now!

Saw the game. This game was jacked. obviously rehearsed and the final points dictated my belief. there is absolutely no reason why the patriots shouldn't have won. when the giants got that touchdown the guy behind the receiver guy stopped and slowed down. didn't even tackled the guy.

If the Pats ran the ball in at the end of the first, Crakuer wins $750.
If the Giants didn't score in the waning seconds of the game, Crakeur wins $2,300.

you know how hard it is to root against the home team, in NY, at a party filled with screaming giants fans?

On the bright side, I did win the half time box and the third quarter box. All told, I'm way up but man, to think I could've scored $4,250 or possibly even $5,000 of a $6,000 pool ($250 per quarter went to the dude with the reverse score).

An amazing game and even more exciting was the electricity in the city afterward. Bus drivers were blasting their horns in unison with the screaming fans. It was a hell of a night. Can't wait to do it all again in the fall when the Mets win the World Series.
