Actually a LOT of people with green eyes experience this, I think its because of their surroudings, for example a green eye can consist of colours blue and yellow and possible specs of brown, to make the green, so clothing and lighting etc could make their eyes appear more blue or green depending on the surroundings.

I have heard about when people get angry it goes bright green, don't know why? lol

Hey Ya Bro' and sis'.

So I am Dane and blue eyed! Now I feel special too.

So does this gene lacking also mean us blue eyed people can't jump high or run fast either? Does this mean brown eyed people are genetically more perfect?

Come now. Everyone know that those of us with eyes that range from bright blue to green have such eye colour because of our ancestors from the Pleiades.

Doesn't everyone know that?

No. It is just a scientific study to show where the gene derived from. It has nothing to do who will be more likely to succeed at athletics and who will not. It is to show that there are relationship between "all genes" whether they spawn be dominant or recessive traits. Once a gene has been mutated, over a period of time, as long as the "gene pool" [no pun intended] stays fresh with Mendel's Laws in full effect, they can, and have become "dominant" genes through successful crossbreeding aka hybridization.

I've never met anyone else with this same trait before whether they have Brown, Blue or Green eyes.

Mine also vary from grey-blue to grey-green and I've wondered the same; much of it is the quality of light and one's surroundings and clothing, methinks.

BTW, when I was a kid I once found myself standing right next to Liz Taylor in a hotel bar in Manhattan (I was with my father and was having a Coke, just to clarify!) and she has the most remarkable, penetrating and startlingly intense blue eyes I've ever seen. Deeply saturated and vivid. Film never captured this remarkable aspect of her beauty.

Apparantly eyes, unlike skin and hair, do not produce colour pigmentation regulary and whats there degrades over time(usualy) so the eyes will get lighter, sometimes the pigmentation granuales get darker resulting in darker eyes!

Maybe this was when the 'alien' genes were spliced in??

And by the way, there are quite a few African-Americans with blue or green eyes......and brown eyes are usually dominant, even if one parent has another color of eyes. Perhaps the 'blue-eye' genes are hidden in the DNA of all ?

Mine also change color.....mostly now they are a steel gray, but sometimes a really green or blue.....( makes one do a double take at the reflection of a 'stranger', LOL!)

I have blue eyes, well mostly blue anyway. When you look closely there are some yellowish hues.

I have a lot of Norwegian blood.

Then, of course, there's "Ol' Blue Eyes."

It's nice to find out that I am a mutation. I always knew there was something wrong with me, now I have an explination

My eyes have various ranges of blue, sometimes smokey blue, sometimes true blue, and other times...kind of grey blue, but truthfully, I thinks it all depends on what I'm wearing that gives my eyes an altered state of color.

I agree with you jensouth31, it's nice to know we are mutations, I am the opposite spectrum of your darks, mine are light blue and sometimes light green and most of the time grey. I was told by my first ex wife that my eyes follow my moods, green when I'm unhappy and blue when I'm content but grey for the normal, but like you my eyes seem to follow the color of the clothes I wear, are we normal.

I would like to know something as well. I have blue eyes, normally, but when the light changes they change color. On a sunny day they are blue/green. When its cloudy or rainy they are blue/grey. I don't know much. Is that unusual? My dad said it's from his side of the family.
