Nothing wrong with humor.
I believe that debating should have it.
90% humor...the rest....10%
That's MY take; others may agree/disagree with those percentages.
The point of a debate is to 'stay on focus', 'stick to your guns', and do your research til the cows come home.
Should the cows produce 'chocolate milk', then go with the flow...enjoy.
Until then,
know that your friends are your enemies...and vice versa, and bring your best stance/words forward with respect, lightheartedness,
deliberation and
just cause.
These are my little tidbits to all DEBATORS.
