This evening we had some spectacular clouds here in Norway. The where at a very high alltitude, because they could be seen south high in the air both from Oslo and a town called Larvik 200 Kilometers from Oslo.

Later the evening they dissapeard but som cluds still hung high up as you can see on the left.

If I'm not mistaking, You can see gravity waves at the two first pictures..

Nice shots tep. I hope that I get to see this one day. You are very lucky.

They are called nacreous clouds.

The waves are due to high altitude winds.

It wouldn't surprise me if those types of clouds got mistaken for UFOs.

I would love to see nacreous clouds in real life.
