Hopefully the impending possible release of Halo 2 will convince the folks at ID and Valve to churn out out HL2 and Doom 3 sooner rather than later to generate some competition.

I heard the Half Life2 release date had to be extended because hackers got into the developer's system and messed things up. I read it in an article somewhere. A shame, I really loved HalfLife 1 and all the expansion versions.

Halo 2 looks awesome. I gave away my copy of Halo 1 because I played it too much.

Yeah, its a major bummer that the release for HL2 got pushed back, but it wasnt so much that the intruders messed things up as they stole the source to the game along with maps, and a buttload of other things. But from what was swiped and distributed, the game looks to be amazing.

I saw the Half-Life 2 trailer and it looked really good. Did they catch the people who messed it all up for the rest of us?

Not quite sure, Valve wasnt very forth-coming with details, since it was partially their fault. They just said they were talking with the authorities, so probably not. Guess next time they will take more security measures on the dev machines.

If Halo 1 was that good...god i cant wate for #2 to come out.

Because of the fact they keep delaying the release i've boycotted buying any more X-Box games untill they finally release it... its due out spring (southern) this year as far as i know... i really cant wait and hopefully the live apsect will increase the addictivness ten fold
