Now bates, you've been a member here long enough to know not to come post something like this without a link to a story or at least a picture.

I'd like to second that, since I looked around a bit too. I thought the only reason tigers like to get close to people is when they're in need of a
larger snack than monkeys or waterfowl.

C'ha. It's true except for the India part. Oh, and the "cross breed" part. Here's the pic-
Tiger and his wife (who is most definately a woman) and their new cub.

Tigers only attack from behind, if they approch from the front they want sex.
It's not uncommon for tigers to rape in india.

The only close reference I found for 'tiger rape' is a denouncement of an ad.
In this connection the ad series launched by the Maruti-Suzuki people year before last for their new car model Zen was representative of a trend
which is in vogue. ["ECONOMICTIMES.COM, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2003 05:01:16 PM ] The controversial ad showed a young beautiful blonde being stalked
by a tiger through the city at night. The girl passes through the various areas of the city. ...Whenever she is on the road, it is the new look
car that follows her. The moment she is on stairs or overbridge, the car is transformed into a tiger. The TVC ends with the girl finally giving
up the chase with a deep male voiceover 'Surrender, to the new ... The advertisement fashioned on the "predator concept" was chosen to attract
young consumers below the age of 35, and it was deliberately selected to "build excitement around the brand in a completely different manner". Only
a persistent protest by a small but determined group of gender activists and intellectuals compelled the company to withdraw this ad which '.. had
converted rape into a commodity.'.

Lol! This reminds me of a TV series in the UK called Brass Eye (YouTube the name, its simply brilliant), in it they get celebrities to endorse things
that are blatantly fake, to quote one of the celebrities from an episode:
"That is scientific fact. There is no real evidence for it, but it's scientific fact."
Sorry Bates, but the above is pretty much what you just posted. At least get an article or picture!
Also its not physically possible for Tigers and Humans to cross-breed. That is stupid. Its like saying Whales and Elephants breed to make
Whalephants!

Now that's a handy little piece of information to have, right there. I wonder if Siegfried and Roy knew about that? Or Roy, anyway.

Yep, they had some research on the teleportation thing that everyone is trying to work out and a woman riding a tiger snuck into the box while no one
was looking. Accidents happen in science.
But it's not all bad news. The unfortunate womiger was heard to remark that she bet her husband wouldn't dare cheat on her now.

Apparently not ...
bates?
Is the "s" by chance the "second half"? ... as in bate and Switch?
Aside from yeahright's .. "yeah, right" post ... there would seem a multitude of "conception" issues, here ... genetic and otherwise.
(?)
Please keep us informed, though ... as it may explain the marks on my back.
