So anyone a fan of Katharine Kerr. Personally her first Devery series is my favorite. I found out that apparently J.K.R got some of her ideas for Harry Potter from these books, which is not impossible they do have certain similar elements to them

I'm a big fan of her writing. I've got all her books that are published to date, though I haven't had time to read The Gold Falcon yet.

I'd also say that I like the first series the best, I feel like the quality dropped a bit when quantity increased. But still a good read and I'd recommend reading her books to anyone who likes a good, well written fantasy with a world you'd like to live in and experience firsthand.
The intertwining storylines which jump back and forth in time are sometimes hard to follow so her books are IMO not suitable as a 'brain candy', there's a need to commit oneself to the books to get the most out of them.
