But few outside the area have heard of him (except international blue grass bands), and he rarely works at it anymore, but is getting back into it.
 (Right Skip?)
But he does mind bogglingly exact renderings of Wildlife, Flora and Trains.
And he GOOGLES!

I love internet because you can appreciate people's works from any where in the world.
But no one has heard of him, and he only works when he needs money.
But he does mind bogglingly exact renderings of Wildlife and Trains (???) by pencil points. Millions and millions of dots by hand.
Just the smoke from a train takes weeks. But it's like a photograph when he's done, and it's all by hand.
Remind me some one who lives down my street, he only work when he need to drink, this guy has so much talent
I like this guy too

I would have to say Salvidore Dali for sure. His artwork and creativity is amazing. Just the concepts he comes up with makes me just stare at its
beauty. I think that if you really look at his artwork you can find meaning to it. I do admit that some of his work is a little "out of the
ordinary" but that is what makes it so unique.

I love Dali's work (I'm also fortunate enough to be in the same city, as his museum, with the largest collection of his work).
I'm a big fan of MC Escher (does surrealistic drawings), as well as Boris Vallejo (does a lot of fantasy drawings and oil paintings...)
For old school, I'm a big fan of the Baroque period (such as Rubens, which, as luck would have it, I'm in the same area as the museum with his
largest collection as well...owned by the Ringlings). I also like the Dutch masters, such as Rembrandt (for his use of contrast), and Vermeer (for
his tromp l'eil---"fool the eye" style).
I like DaVinci, but more for his other talents in science, but he was a talented artist as well.
Michealangelo, was certainly the finest sculptor I've ever seen, and an accomplished pencil artist as well...
Thanks for including me in your favorites Salem....I'm honored....

Do you mean the Dali museum in Figueras, Catalunya? I was there in July, it's an amazing collection . Dali was a genius, and a brilliant painter
and sculptor. I particularly liked his pencil drawings of the fantasy city scapes. That's a form of art that I'm very fond of.

Nope, I'm in St. Petersburg, FL... I could be mistaken on the "largest" collection, but I've seen it touted as such before. With the Rubens'
works...those (along with many others) are in the Ringling Museum in Sarasota. BTW this is the circus Ringlings....they were very large collectors of
baroque style artwork. The museum itself is a work of art, and contains many benches, pillars, and other fixtures, such as harpsichords, from the
era......
