The competition hasn't even had a chance to take its shoes off and we've had some submissions rolling in. The four weeks allocated for this little
shindig is plenty of time for our "elite" to pull out all the stops on this one.
Looking forward to see what we come up with.

Three of the five have been submitted. One has confirmed that I should be receiving them anytime now, and the other is pre-occupied, which I will say
is completely understandable. I'll refrain from setting any guidelines to when we can expect the results, but I will say that when I get them, you
will all have them.

The Results Are In!
I have just finished tallying the results and I can not believe it. In one division, the winner squeaked out by 1 point. In the other
division, the winner pulled out the dubya by half a point! The judges had a tough time with this one and it was very, very close. I was here
counting the scores and truly on an emotional roller coaster. I have come familiar with almost every member who has participated here and I was
rooting for all of you guys.
Ok, Ok, I'll shut up and get on with it.
Let's begin with the Light Weight Division.
Keeping in mind that we had five judges, and each judge could score out of a possible ten, our winner had a whopping 40 points! Very
impressive.
So who is it?
Winner of the Light Weight Division for the Above Top Secret Crypotozoology Avatar Competition is.......
Gemwolf

Congrats to Gemwolf as winner of this competition!
Lightweight
TheDesigner - 34
Gemwolf - 40
psyopswatcher - 36.5
maria_stardust - 39
frayed1 - 27.5
Paresthesia - 29
---
Now we move on to the "big one" The Heavy Weight Division. This one was very close. The winner of this competition was only .5 of a point
ahead of second place, and not much more of a separation from third place.
Winner of the Heavy Weight Division for the Above Top Secret Crypotozoology Avatar Competition is.......
Hold The Phone!
I have come across some serious controversy here people. I have thought, thought, and thought about this, and as a non-staff member or non-judge, I
don't think it is my position to make a final judgment.
I will consult with my fellow judges on this one and we will announce a winner soon.

Results Are In! ...Again!
Ok, I have consulted with a staff member on this issue, and the following course of action has been decided.
When I tallied the scores of each submission, we did have a winner. The member ended up with a score of 40.5. Through the process of typing the post
to reward this member, I noticed that his submission was in fact, over the 75kb file size limit. It is unfortunate that things had to end like this,
and the onus is on my shoulders alone for this. I should of taken a second look at each submission when closing the competition to assure that they
were all abiding by the standards that we laid out.
So on this one, I offer my apologies.
With that said, we still need a winner. Considering how close the scores actually were, our winner is more than deserving.
So join me in offering congrats to our latest Above Top Secret Avatar Contest winner,
Regenmacher!

As always, this member has shown a tremendous artistic and creative ability.
I conclude with a final apology to our members for this little "slip up" and we will tighten up on the next competition.
Here are a list of the scores for each submission...
cyberdude78 - 22
semperfortis - 36
Beer_Guy - 26
Mechanic 32 - 35
Ex - 37.5
Xphiles - 36
Loam - Void
Jimstradamus - 28.5
Thain Esh Kelch - 35
Regenmacher - 40
To everyone who participated, I offer congrats to you all. Even though Gemwolf & Regenmacher take home the award, I think we can all
agree that this was a lot of fun. Ultimately, that is what we are looking for. So one final thank you for all taking a moment to participate, and I
would hope others join me in thanking our judges for participating as well. Without them, none of this would be possible.
These competitions will be on the shelf for a few weeks. Keep your eyes and ears open, in the future, for the next one.
I look forward to the next competition.
Thank You,
chissler

Agreed, these are a lot of fun. I enjoy watching the different submissions that we come up with. Umbrax had thought of the "two division setup"
for the Christmas competition, and I think it really makes the difference. Some of you "heavy hitters" can be intimidating for other members, which
might keep them from submitting. With the two divisions, there is room for everyone to have a good time.
'Til next time...
