Who is the stig?

Can anyone shed some light as to the identity of the stig. You know the tame racing driver in disguise who appears on the uk motoring show top gear.

The Stig has been at least two drivers, one was/is a British F3 Driver, and another was a rally guy. (I don't remember their names). But in anycase they sure like their power oversteer.

Perry Mc'arthy ex F1 driver is the main "stig" cant remember the other blokes name, he wrote a book called flat out flat broke a while ago and it's a pretty good read, he was also probably one of the unluckyest drivers around lol got an f1 drive then found out the team owner was a scammer

the one i have seen was some bald bloke, not sure of his name though. i thinks the whole thing about the stig is funny, although i think he might get upstaged by the top gear dog in the coming series though
