New Mexico

Topic started on 31-10-2003 @ 03:36 PM by ktprktpr

I thinking of moving to New Mexico next year and I was wondering if any members lived there or knew the area. I am currently doing some research but if anyone knows anything about:

Cost of Living

Availability of jobs (I'm a "recent" graduate in Graphic Design)

If there is a decent public transportion system

What the crime is like

Average rent for like an apartment room or a house

General Climate (like is it cold at night now?)

Edit- Is racism prevalent?

I am hoping to start a company or work on IP and bootstrap a compay from there.

thanks for your time
cheers

I've spent alot of time in New Mexico and I might be able to answer a few questions.

Q:What the crime is like? A: Not too bad

Q:General Climate (like is it cold at night now?) A: Hell no it's not cold. It's the Florida of the southwest, where old people go to die.

Q:Is racism prevalent? A: Only if you're white, then you'll get snubbed by Mexicans, they're the prevailent ethnicity and in some places they outnumber everyone.

That's about all I know.

Hmm those answers sound good (esp since I'm not white hehehe). I will do more research and post my results here. But right now I'm trying to resolve some patent business matters (which I need to do before I move to NM; or come up with another patentable idea ).

And it was snowing like crazy!! But it was beautiful. The people seemed a bit odd that I ran into..but I am fond of the west: Nevada(too much crime) Cali(loved it) Arizona(was obssessed with moving to Mesa forever!!) and New Mexico..I think it's a decent choice to live, maybe not forever, but then nothing is really forever, is it?

Good love in your future journies!!

*EDIT* why I wrote love instead of *luck* is beyond me??
