ABP doesn't remove the ad from existence, it will still be there, you just can't see it. ABP and Ghostery are great aps regardless. If you don't
want to be annoyed by pop-ups and irritating advertisements its the best remedy.

I'm still seeing this Foxnews
super-irritating flashing, pulsing E-VILE ad.
I'm not an epileptic, so it has little effect on me, other than middlin' to mild irritation. The ad is in the standard rotation -- it pops up
about (I'm guessing) one in ten.

I want to complain about the Terminator ad too.
I've only been getting it for a couple of days - is that because everyone else kicked off so it's come round to me instead?
Let me make it clear - I am NOT, that's NOT interested in the Terminator. The rotten ad can persecute me as much as it likes, I'm not buying
anything.
It must be someone else's turn now ..... next!

The Terminator Ad is really pissing me off.
Seems like it has been annoying a lot of people.
But no change.
What is the point of asking people their opinion when it's now apparent that advertising revenue takes precedent.

Yep... i would like an answer from somebody.
Other people get one 5 mins after complaining.
This is my second post on here and I've also posted on the issues thread.
It's not nice to be ignored.
Even if you just say the ad is staying, tough luck....that's fine....it's at least an answer.
Edit to clarify :
This is obviously still about the Terminator ad.

If there's an ad that is a real serious problem, and I've not replied... PLEASE send me a U2U and don't assume I'll notice
posts in a thread.
Yesterday I tested the ad on all the Mac/PC browser combinations I have (which are numerous) and never found any performance problems, nor did I
encounter any times in which the overlay happened automatically... it only happens when you roll your mouse over the ad.
It also appears to have a 1-in-24 frequency cap... which means you should only see it once every 24 hours, which is an appropriate setting for an ad
like this.
However, I notified the ad network that some of our users are accidentally rolling-over the ad and encountering browser-lockups... and to please
remove the ad from rotation until the performance issues are corrected by the advertiser. It may take up to 24 hours (given it's the weekend) before
the ad is removed.

Thanks SO.
It was not on a 1 in 24 for me.
It was every time i rolled near it, but funnily enough not along the top.
I have no idea where the ad is.
And i posted both in the ad hitlist and issues thread.
Assuming some member of staff would read them.
I wont assume anything again.

Frequency caps for specific ads rely on cookies, if you're refusing cookies or otherwise deleting/managing cookies, it's likely that you'll see the
ad more often than intended.

Just to add, I've gone into several threads, moved around the site and when i come back to the 'Recent threads' page... the only ad at the top is
the Terminator one.
It's either that or a grey bar if i refresh the page 2/3 times.
But it always comes back after reading a thread or whatever?
Just thought I'd let you know anyway.

Amphetamines for adults?
vyvanse
“Amphetamine, as with cocaine, can induce symptoms similar to those seen in obsessive disorder, panic disorder, and phobic disorders.”
This is advertised on a conspiracy site? Who's playing with us man?
edit to add: I still hate the terminator ad also.

I was referred here after starting a thread about the nasty adverts :-D
I am not a sensitive person and have seen more disturbing images than some of these adverts but it is not pleasant when browsing or reading a large
thread to constantly be faced with the murked teeth of some gypsy pikey git.
Gross.
The ones with the rippling muscles are also uncalled for. I do not see half naked women on your site so why the men? I might also add that they look
like those "get rich quick" schemes, get ripped quick, get thin quick and all of that crap.
That is what they are. Crap.
ATS do not sell yourself down the river this way by advertising bull# schemes that IF any of the readers were dumb enough to purchase (which I know we
are not) would lead them to be very pissed off.
There are plenty of affiliate ad agencies that provide much better banners than this that will convert much better (and I work for an agency that
deals with this sort of stuff so might even be able to get you some bespoke commissions ).
Thank you

Huh? What hot chick?!?!
I must be missing that. Is that part of some ATS targeted advert algorithm that I only ever get to see the naked men?
