Well a movie i would view as classic sci-fi viewing, a big film of my youth.. and i enjoy it every time i see it...
Alien..
well incase you didnt know, this Halloween.. its being re-released as a directors cut including extra scenes..
heres the trailer
Trailer
ive read its not got much added.. hopefull it will make what i view as a great film even better...
i think the earlyer released directors cut of aliens was far superior to the original theatrical release of aliens..
anyway fellow ats/bts movie buffs whats your take on it??
anyone excited?

The original ALIEN was one of the most awesome movies I have seen the first time I watched it very late at night I was petrified, great story, great
movie.
I look forward to its release.
The names they chose like NOSTROMO and LV426 all sounded so credible and freaky,it really added a weird reality dimension to the movie.
If it ever appears in Japan I will be the first in line..

SWEET! it's going to be in theaters! I should go see it with my mom...she claims she saw Alien when she was pregnant with me! (although I'm
really not sure how that works...she was pregnant with me in 1981 and the movie was released in 1979. maybe it was in the theaters for a long time. or
it's a neat story and she fudged the dates. )

I've got Aliens: The Director's Cut on VHS (was a loooong time ago when I got it). It only improved on the original. Blade Runner: The Director's
Cut was not all that terrific... it was more edgy, certainly, although I do think the voice-overs in the original brought the Deckard character closer
to the audience.

LOL I got a Nostromo cap too!
My Dad worked in the house in which Roger Dicken lived and he was the man who made the Chestburster and Facehugger models, my Dad said the 'burster
was in a case mounted on a wall.
I've also held Siggy w's Pulse rifle from Aliens and Vasquez's Smart Gun. Awesome movies (apart from resurection)
PS: in Alien 3 with all the extrastuff put in the quadrilogy turned a crap film into a flawed masterpiece.

Resurrection had a crap ending but was ok otherwise. I particularly like the scene where Brad Dourif is looking at an Alien through a window and it
tries to slam its way out to get him. You could almost believe the things were real.

I don't know. I got told that a long loooooonnnnnng time ago, when I was still taking computer classes. One of our teacher was a big geek, and a big
dork I must add (not related to the fact of being a geek), and one time he said that in the (coming) director's cut of Alien, Ripley was supposed to
get f*cked by an Alien. I guess he was just making up stuff, that huge dork...
He also told us he was doing Kung Fu and was bad ass at it lol... Guess that was a lie too. (he was like REALLY fat and didn't looked agile at
all)
Now that I think about it, there's just so much stuff he would tell that sounded bogus... Whatever, sorry for wasting your time.
