Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War

Any of u guys play Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War? If u do & if u have beat it i neet help. Im stuck on the lvl where u have 2 destroy the submarine in the northern waters w/o the help of the Arcbird. How did u guys beat it? & what type of plane did u use?

I always use any plane with UGBLs. The MIG-1.44 has them.

Use the Falkens that I equipped for my whole squad. Its special weapon the laser would annihalate the submarine easily.

I have'nt gotten the Falken and i've beat the game. I doubt Falcon9021 would even have the X-02.

ya i dont have it yet but how do u get it that would be a very interesting plane to use. any other ideas?

You get the Falken by destroying these hangars in certain levels. I don't know what missions they would be in or how many there are. I haven't been able to play the game in so long; it got scratched

You unlock the X-02 by unlocking and by at least one of every plane in the game. I had the X-02. Not much to get exited about.

whats so special about the Falken?

It has this laser that destroys just about anything AND its exclusive to the Falken. No other plane has it!

All i used was the Fa/18 with the LASM it worked like a charm.

Thanks guys now i have to go rent this game i got half way thro and gave up but now i am crazy for it!!

I think i used a ground attack plane and just went on like approaches, bombed then ran away really fast. Seemed that it worked well. But I do know that that level angered me greatly. Now....time to wait for the belkan war.

Wow, that was fast. didn't some of the other levels get on your nerve som though???

ya the lvl were u have to protect to launch site so that the laser weapon can get 2 the Arcbird really made me mad i tried it about 12 time before i beat it.

You really thought that was hard!!!??? You shouold have seen me trying to complete the mission where you have to shoot down the Arkbird. I used to HATE that level!!! I almost destroyed my controller!

Is this game any good? I recently picked up a logitech force feedback joystick as well as MS2004 and a bunch of scenery packs. I am enjoying it much more than Oblivion, Longest Journey or any other pc game in the last few months.

Which one Ace Combat 4 5 or Zero? If you got 5 then I told so!!!
If you got Zero than yeah this game rocks! I'm already halfway through!

I recently just got this game (along with my new PS2 ), and I friggen LOVE IT!

Although I do have to admit.....the level I am stuck on is the one where you have to fly through that tunnel....I have been using an Su-47, and the problem I have is actually after I've destroyed the target, passed Bartlett, and shot down the first enemy plane in the tunnel. I then run into the shutter after shooting down the pair of fighters (with long-range Air-to-Air missiles). *sigh* I suppose I will get it eventually.

Though I think there was a level on the original Air Combat game that was harder than this....
