Spider-Man 3: Your Official Information On The Next Spider-Man movie.(SPOILERS)

They emo thing was so distracting. To make matters worse, women walking around him looked at him like he was hot when really he looked like an idiot.
His dancing was REALLY hard to watch.
The only saving point of the "emo" Parker was when he smacked down MJ. Not that I like to beat women or anything. I just found that to be totally shocking.

Best part of the movie for me: The birth of Sandman. That was so incredible to watch.

Worst Part: Anytime there was singing or dancing. I was okay with the first scene of MJ singing, not because I liked her singing, just because she got fired.
I really thought she was going to give up that carrier and become a model or something.

-Stan Lee's scene in this movie was awesome. It is only beat by his appearance in Mallrats.

-I really liked Sandman. His first fight with Spidey was incredible.

-Bruce Campbell rocks as always.

Any Evil Dead fans notice Peer's kitchen? I swear it is the same one from Evil Dead II.

That scene where MJ and Harry were dancing and making eggs really ticked me off. It was just ridiculous.

Then, when Peter became the silly little emo boy with his rebellious half bangs, I really thought the writers had lost their minds.

Bruce Campbell was really the only really funny part of the movie.

Also, what was the deal with Venom sounding like Eric Foreman? It really took away from his scariness. Normally, the comic book word bubbles were oddly shaped and black, which I assumed meant that there was some sort of distortion, or dual speech, or something. When Venom first spoke as Venom, he sounded like he could still get a foot up his @$$ from Red Foreman. Not very intimidating.

Yeah I didn't like Venoms voice either. It should have totally been made to sound like two voices.
Topher Grace as Venom was completely unlike any other version of Brock/Venom we've seen before. I thought his Brock did work for what they were trying to do in the movie though. But as Venom he should have just been this monster full of hate for Peter/Spider-Man. Leave the joke cracking for Spidey.

Also, the reason that Venom was so much of a challenge for Spiderman was because the symbiote had mimicked Spidey's powers, and amplified Brock's natural strength. Since Eddie Brock was a bodybuilder, Venom was just that much stronger. Based on the previous explanations of the symbiote, Venom shouldn't have been that tough in the movie.

In the end I liked Venom but he seemed forced into the film. From watching the movie it felt like the original script had Sandman as the main villain and then a soap opera drama between Harry, MJ, Peter and Gwen.

What I didn't expect is how much I liked Sandman. His rebirth scene was so amazing. I didn't like how they made it that he was Ben's killer but it worked as a plot device to push Peter over the edge and willingly wear the black costume.
His "death" was also a great moment in the film.

I agree, they just kinda threw him in there. If they ended this movie with Eddie Brock turning into Venom, the next movie could have been so much more.

They could have done the Maximum Carnage story as well if they just arrested Brock instead of killing him off. In the first issue of MC, Eddie Brock is in the next cell over from Kletus Cassidy when the Symbiote finds it's way back to him, and leaves a small piece of itself behind.

Now how can they bring Carnage in without Venom? The MC storyline is what made Venom a really interesting character for me. He's a villain with a conscience, whereas Carnage is completely insane, and will kill anyone. It was Venom's desire to protect innocents that had him teaming up with Spiderman, and finally taking out Carnage.

Sometimes I just don't understand why movies take so much liberty with storylines when great ones are right there for the taking.

The reason they didn't do that is because during the initial stages they had no idea they were going to be asked for a fourth movie. It was originally intended to be a trilogy.

Yup that's very true Sam Raimi didn't even want Venom in the story anyway he hates the character nothing more than a 'cardboard villan' for spiderman to defeat it was forced on him by the studio and Avi Arad cause he claimed that he needed to use Venom because the fans love Venom.

I've avoid reading anything in this thread lately, to avoid any spoilers.

But Saturday night I'm going to the IMAX to check it out.

Did spidey even crack a joke? I don’t think he did which was just one of the many disappointments of this movie.
If it weren’t for Sandman this movie would just be garbage.
Come on the emo Parker? the girls that were supposed to be checking him out were just looking at him like he was a dork.

That's because he was a dork. In the comic, Peter becomes a suave, handsome man when he's grown up. In the movie, I just wanted to give him a wedgie.

I have no conclusion. His being dead or alive is irrelevant to what I was saying. I was just trying to say that that scene was a great moment in the movie.

jeez, sandman killed pete's uncle for crying out loud (even if it was an accident)...

I checked this one out last night at the IMAX, and I was overly impressed.

My biggest critiques are basically the unnecessary dancing and amount of "cheese". And the fact that Venom was only in a small section of the film. I liked that Parker had to overcome the demon within, but it really took away from the part of Venom. Even though Brock is gone, and the Venom was destroyed, the laboratory still has a sample. We may see a return of that in the future.

I though Harry's character went out a little easy, but I was glad he sacrificed himself for Peter.

I give it four stars out of five, and it was just as good as the other two.

Oh, and Topher Grace as Brock/Venom?

Terrible call on that. But I did enjoy Thomas Hayden Church as the Sandman. He played the character well.
