China: “commander " kitty hawk battle group " reports that Chinese maritime patrol aircraft as shadowing his vessels at maximum visual range

Hour 4:

Russia: The Russian Federation insists that china backs down from japan,

US: The President of the United States is asking a meeting with his cabinet to deal with this situation. No change in Defcon. Defcon is still at 5.

The commander of the KH battle group orders his F/A-18s to escort the Chinese planes and orders a 200 mile "No Fly Zone" around the battle group. The rules are as follows. Anything entering the 200 mile zone will be pushed out by their escorts. At 150 miles, they will be locked up by fire control radar. At 100 miles they will be shot down. Any threatening actions taken within the 200 mile zone and the aircraft will be immediately shot down. S-3 and SH-60 antisubmarine patrols will be stepped up around the group, along with the ASW destroyers. Two LA Fast Attack Submarines with the battle group will be released to hunt and shadow any submarines in the area. Kittyhawk DEFCON status is at 4 per SOP.

The President learns of this from Secretary of Defense. Secretary of Defense recommends moving to Defcon 4. Strengthening security measures. The President supports the Commander of KH battle group to defend itself with force if necessary.

Russia: The Russian Federation announces that they are moving 1 aircraft carrier and 3 destroyers to 20* 114* to meet the American threat.

US: The USS Chosin, and USS Russell have sailed from Pearl Harbor to join the KH battle group. The USS Ronald Regan and group have sailed from San Diego. Additional escorts will sail from PH to join the group.

As Secretary of Defense for the United States, I have order the deployment of US Attack Subs SSN 766 Charlotte, SSN 771 Columbia, and SSN 724 Louisville, to the pacific. They will also be under the command of PACOM.
