A 10 year old boy from Atlanta was forced by classmates to the floor to kiss and lick his teachers feet however the teacher has been cleared of any
criminal intent!
worldnetdaily.com
And though the teacher, Jody Kilpatrick of Temple Elementary School in Carroll County, has apologized for the incident, a preliminary investigation
found no criminal intent since she apparently received no sexual gratification from the physical contact.
The child told investigators his classmates physically restrained him and forced him to kiss his teacher’s feet – and the teacher went along with
the abuse.
"Outrage doesn’t begin to describe how I feel right now," she said. "It’s like a game to her. It’s a joke to her."
Please visit the link provided for the complete story.
Surely this teacher was legally responsible the child was in her care. That is without the harm she caused to the other children involved by
encouraging it.

Outrageous. What the hell is going on here?
So it's not child abuse because there was no sexual gratification, eh? It seems to me that Georgia needs to rewrite their child abuse laws.
Shameful.

"Ms. Kilpatrick asked [my son], did he want to see her toes, and he was, like, okay, I'll look at your toes," explained Denise Strozier, the boy's
mother. "So, a student that was his friend and another student took his hands and put them down, behind his back, and she stood there and allowed
these children to push my son to the ground, and he licked her toes. And she gave him candy."

Heavens forbid. I can't believe this story even got into the media. It's so obviously blown out of proportion that it's comical.

eh?
WTF. She's the teacher, she has the authority to stop it - why would she allow the children to continue on so as to make him lick and kiss her
feet?
I don't th ink the issue is about the contact between her and the student - it's about the fact that students forcibly made him do something to HER
and she didn't do anything to stop it - rather joked about it and gave him candy?
If that happened to my daughter, I'd be seriously pissed off.

Granted, the story is strange, but I don't care what circumstances lead to me reading about a student being restrained and licking a teacher's toes.
That cold shouldn't have happened.
EDIT: I also don't care how wacky those crazy, wild, zany kids are that were involved in this. If this was a joke, it's not funny. That kid will
forever be "the kid who licks toes". He will probably have subservience problems in his career / sex life later on.

Maybe blown out of proportion, Sim, but it does bring up a good point about what's necessary for something to constitute child abuse (There being
sexual gratification involved).

“He said that [the teacher] says, ‘Well, everybody else has candy. And if you lick my toes, you can have some candy,’ And I said, ‘Are you
sure that's what you [heard?]’” Strozier said. “He said, ‘Yes, ma'am, all my friends were there and I licked her toes, and I got
candy.’”
Strozier says one of her son's friends also wrote in his yearbook a note similar to what she says the teacher wrote.
Strozier called the principal to complain, and she said the initial response from the school was simply to offer Strozier and her son a replacement
yearbook, but only if she returned the one with the teacher's writing in it.

The mother only found out about it by reading the boy's yearbook signatures. Happened in February.

YUMMY!!!!!!!
Kissing a teacher's foot is better than getting swats, or licks, or whatever other word we all used for corporal punishment.
Peace

There are people supporting this biatch “Well, my first reaction was
nothing inappropriate happened because that's just not Jodi,” said Jennifer Foster.
“I was just so sad to see this happen to her, because it's just not who she is,” said Jennifer Applegate. “She's just the kind of teacher that
you would want your child to be in her class.
Holy Deja-Vu Batman! Isn't that the exact reaction neigbors have after some guy shotguns his whole family, or some priest rapes half the kids
in his congregation. Seems the news always looks for the most gullible moron in the crowd to interview, never the person who says "I never trusted
that person, always knews they were off somehow, I hate to be right like this, with this tragedy now, but...I did warn people"
Dina Shumake said the accusation could scare teachers away from befriending their students.
“Jodi's there for them, and now, you know, what is this telling our teachers -- you can't even get close to them,” Shumake said.
Thats right crazy pervert stay away from the kids!!
“They just aren't going to know what's appropriate and what's not, and it's going to scare them into thinking that any little thing could be
misconstrued,” Applegate said.
Not know what's appropriate? What? WTF?!?!?! Try, kids tongues and teachers should not mix, unless he/she's sixteen, then its perfectly legal in
Georgia, or they can get married to an adult at 14, but ...some woman was arrested for getting pregnant in Georgia from her 14 year old husband...go
figure, can get married but not get pregnant. That state is a backwater.
I tell you, I ever find out some kids force my daughter to do something, I'm not going to complain to anyone, I'm just going to get
revenge.
As we can see from this news story, the 'systems' automatic response is to protect itself, cover up, deny any wrong doing. Paper pushing pencil neck
pricks!
Someone really should find out whats in the water in Georgia, and keep their teachers away from it.

Why does this get national attention? Well compare it with Blaire attacking the "hoodies problem." May one also add and its
"reaction-solution?"
This kind of news article shows the total lack of priorities, and it is another deep plunge into irrelevance. Yes I could care less about a story like
this, and it does not even deserve a backpage footnote.

Its just an excuse for peeps with no life to come in here and act all self righteous. Its so cliche, like "no dark sarcasims in the classroom.."
I agree. Stop wasting our community memory space and start reporting real news!

Legaliser
anyone who added a funny spin on this story so sick can only laugh at it.
as a previous poster showed this is a genuine story.
To those who say this isnt 'news' or dosnt deserve discussion. Well firstly it brings questions into focus on the rights of children. IMHO Human
Rights are among the most important thing we have, especially for children.
Secondly it brings into focus the responsibilities and boundaries of those charged with caring for peoples children, for vulnerable people.
Thirdly it highlights the legal systems view of the behaviour of those responsible for children.
Lastly the actual debate about this incident both on hear and the lack of cover of this story brings into focus some issues to do with society at the
moment and how they veiw children
Sorry there wasnt enough important aspects to this event.
Regards
Elf
