What is lacking?
God created us with the spirit of Love, power, and a sound mind. It is "food" for these aspects of our being which are the only three things of any
importance that could be lacking.
The Christ's works did not lack neither love nor power as both can be felt within our entire being. This leaves only the understanding for a sound
mind.
Why is understanding important? So we know which way to go. The way of life or the way of death.
This is the way of life:
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great
commandment. And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
No suffering is required to know this way.

Our positions on things
ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH POSITION ON CERTAIN ISSUES
1. Abortion
The Church teaches that, regarding a law permitting abortions, it is "never licit to obey it, or to take part in a propaganda campaign in favor of
such a law, or to vote for it" (EV 73). Abortion is the intentional and direct killing of an innocent human being, and therefore it is a form of
homicide. The child is always an innocent party, and no law may permit the taking of his life. Even when a child is conceived through rape or incest,
the fault is not the child's, who should not suffer death for others' sins.
2. Euthanasia
Often disguised by the name "mercy killing, " euthanasia also is a form of homicide. No one has a right to take his own life (suicide), and no one
has the right to take the life of any innocent person. In euthanasia, the ill or elderly are killed out of a misplaced sense of compassion, but true
compassion cannot include doing something intrinsically evil to another person (cf. EV 73).
3. Embryonic Stem Cell Research
Human embryos are human beings. "Respect for the dignity of the human being excludes all experimental manipulation or exploitation of the human
embryo" (CRF 4b).
Recent scientific advances show that any medical cure that might arise from experimentation on embryonic stem cells can be developed by using adult
stem cells instead. Adult stem cells can be obtained without doing harm to the adults from whom they come. Thus there no longer is a medical argument
in favor of using embryonic stem cells.
4. Human Cloning
"Attempts . . . for obtaining a human being without any connection with sexuality through 'twin fission, ' cloning, or parthenogenesis are to be
considered contrary to the moral law, since they are in opposition to the dignity both of human procreation and of the conjugal union" (RHL
I:6).Human cloning also ends up being a form of homicide because the "rejected" or "unsuccessful" clones are destroyed, yet each clone is a human
being.
5. Homosexual "Marriage"
True marriage is the union of one man and one woman. Legal recognition of any other form of "marriage" undermines true marriage, and legal
recognition of homosexual unions actually does homosexual persons a disfavor by encouraging them to persist in what is an objectively immoral
arrangement. "When legislation in favor of the recognition of homosexual unions is proposed for the first time in a legislative assembly, the
Catholic lawmaker has a moral duty to express his opposition clearly and publicly and to vote against it. To vote in favor of a law
so harmful to the common good is gravely immoral" (UHP 10).

True marriage is the union of one self and One God. All else is an earthly reminder of God's perfect love.

If it is the person that is important, I would argue that true marriage is the union of one person and the three persons of One God. All else is an
earthly reminder of God's perfect love.

In regards to the Pope being our 'earthly father'....
Could you possibly explain to me then why Pope Boniface would have condemned several men to their deaths for treason, when he was well aware of King
Philip IV's plot to over throw Jacques De Molay and his templars due to his unfathomable debt?
I mean, a man your religion holds so highly, commited one of the greatest sins mankind has ever seen... he burned his own servants.
The entire catholic history is nothing but cold-blooded murder, robbery, and secrets and yet Catholics believe their faith is a god-loving one.
Shameful really...

Not that all Catholics are bad, but the organization is evil, I had a family that were nuns and priests.
I know of some great evils that were committed. Immorality of all kinds were rampant. But it went beyond that, in many cases it violated natural law
too, not just Gods' laws.
God can not bless or support such an organization, sorry.

Unless you can go into more detail or extrapolate a bit, your post is worthless.
I've known many members of the clergy who were good, charitable, upstanding people and seemed to be servants of God. Should we now assume that the
Church that they are part of is flawless?

Oh I could go into some pretty gross and disgusting details but I won't.
But let me ask you, do you have family that served as priests and nuns?
If you don't then your post is worthless too, see how that can cut both ways.

Yeah, that was my point exactly. Both our points are useless. Anecdotal evidence, especially without supporting facts and details, is useless.
My having relatives who are members of the Catholic clergy who have positive things to say and you having relatives of the Catholic clergy who have
negative things to say would not in and of themselves be indicative of anything more than their own opinions.
