How come Charlie isn't more concerned about Eko and Locke after the noise and bright light, AND after the hatch door lands? You'd think he would rush back to the hatch and see if his friends needed help?

Also, anyone have a take on the 'others' reaction to the loud noise and bright light burst? Doesn't seem like they are all too concerned that something bad will happen to the island.....

Charlie has just been accepted by Claire. That is more important to him than even his heroin. Now he just wants to sit and play happy families on a desert Island with his hot girl.

Can you blame him?

i think charlie is more interested in clair than locke or eko, mainly because he's now decided to not worry about anyone elses interests other than his own. as locke sort of like disowned him to a certain extent when he hit him after he took claire's baby...all of which was none of charlie's fault as the island was making him have dreams and so on. and then eko leaves charlie, and even wants charlie to go get his stuff. so i think charlie is fed up of playing 2nd fiddle and just wants to get on with the things he wants to... hence claire.

They See All, nice Blog - wish I was that talented.

If you go back to the end of season 1. How did the 'others' know how to find the raft and take Walt. Did they track them without being seen or did they know there was no leaving the parimeter of the island. Remember, the bottle with the letters from the raft came back to the island. Des came back to the exact spot the of where the survivors are staying.

AND, it would appear that the 'others' must use the boat a lot. They tracked down the raft at the end of season 1. The last episode of season 2 the fake Henry Gale gets off the boat on the pier (how did he get to the boat anyway??) where they have Jack, Kate, etc. And they just give it up to Michael???

AND, where are they getting the gas and oil for the boat and how do they maintain it??? It doesn't look like a new boat, so they have to maintain it somewhere.

Hmmm, did anyone see U.S.S. Minnow anywhere on the boat??

My theory is that they probably have a large research vessel waiting offshore. The boat could have been floating alongside that and that's where notHenry sends Michael and Walt. The vessel would probably look like any ordinry military liner and Michael wouldn't suspect a thing.

I was also wondering, Harold Perrineau (Michael) initially wouldn't be returning for season 3 but now the producers have begun discussing whether or not he will.

But due to Malcom David Kelly (Walt) going through puberty he looked alot older by the end of season 2.

When originally cast, Walt was portrayed as a 10 year old boy but, after two seasons, he no longer looks 10. The creators of the show plan to address this issue in Season 3.

I think that means they are planning on blaming his puberty and rapid growth on something the Other did to him.

Did Walt ever appear in a place he wasn't supposed to be?

We have seen Walt appear and disappear, so I think he could still make an appearance on the Island, and that his story isn't over yet.

Also I was just watching Three Minutes again and I noticed Ms Klugh looked kind of unnerved after Walt gets taken away from Michael. Maybe they are good people but doing whatever they think is neccessary.

I read this on tv without pity. I thought it was funny..

The button-pushing? That's to periodically release the...magnetism? To...well, prevent planes from being pulled out of the sky, I suppose. Locke's still not convinced, and he lets the timer run down, and the electrodoodad goes crazy, and Desmond ducks underneath the computer room to jam his APPARENTLY NOT METAL key into the fail-safe.Which fills the sky with a bright light and a loud noise, and sends the Swan station hatch door into an airborne portal of death that almost takes out Bernard and Claire on the beach, but is fortunately deflected by Aaron's giant head.

his APPARENTLY NOT METAL key

I assumed it was Titanium. Remeber the episode where Sayid and Jack were exploring the hatch and he had a titanium beam?

I thought it was too. It would make sense for Dharma to use a titanium key if the need for the failsafe to be activated ever arose.

would it therefore not make sense to use only titanium on the island, or any metal that isn't effected by an electro-magnet??

then there would be no flying forks

True, but titanium is a very rare and expensive metal. Dharma would probably confident enough in its staff to believe that any unneccessary expenditure can be avoided.

like i said.. maybe some other metal that isn't affected by an electro-magnet. so dharma held out on using different metals and materials so save a bit of money?

"Henry Gale"

Okay, likely this guy is "him." If Faux Henry is the leader of the others, did he intentionally get captured by Rousseau's net? What would be the reason for this?
If his plan was to be captured, would that mean everything was planned? Michael getting him out and bringing Jack, Kate, and Sawyer to the others? What makes these three more valued than Walt?

I find it hard to believe that Faux Henry was out on his own and fell for one of Rousseau's traps. If he is "him" or not he was defiantly in position of control with the "others" at the end of the show.
What was his motivation to be captured?

Umbrax...

let's see what i have to say...

i guess "gale" meant to be captured...

and his mission was to get locke, just like he said...

but not to get him, as in stealing him...

just to "get to" him and make locke really ponder if the number protocol was real...

i believe that was his mission...

"gale" probably knew that he would be traded eventually, as he may be the leader (but not "him," i think)...

wasn't "gale" not surprised about the whole light show in the finale???

i don't think he was even effected by it (as others were covering their eyes / ears)...

but then, why didn't "gale" not press the numbers when locke was trapped under the blast door...

there are so many questions...

Matthew Fox is close to signing on as Sly Stallone's nemesis in the upcoming "Rambo IV". Nothing is final at his point, but if the deal goes through, Fox will play the part of "Patrick Merchant", a rogue special ops soldier on the run from bogus war crimes charges.

Nobody take that as Jack dieing.
Lots of TV actors make movies while their show is on hiatus.
