Tanning is the trend of today. But according to the World Health Orginization tanning beds cause cancer in users at a later time. Many people use tanning beds thinking the sun will cause cancer, but now evidence shows tanning beds will cause cancer also. WHO wants an age limit set at 18 to try and keep the skin cancer melanoma from happening.

To look better now people are risking the health they have later. Tanning is a craze that has lead to businesses dealing completely with making you look tan. Products have come from sprays, lights, lamps, and even pills. It seems that people looking to tanning beds to escape the harmful UV rays of the sun are in just as much danger.

I work for a company who sells tanning beds, and this question arises quite often. My response to them wondering if it will cause cancer or is unhealthy for them: Everybody knows the damage uva and uvb rays does to your skin and overall health, If you layed in the sun or if you tanned in a bed, both are not gonna do your body good. You just have the option of getting darker in public or in private.

Is it worth the risk? Well thats up to the person spending the $3000.00 for their vanity.

If it is so old why did they just now make the report? Why do people still tan knowing they are killing themselves? When people smoke we tell them the dangers, when someone tries to hang themsleves we stop them, why not this?
