White House Thanksgiving Turkey Detained Without Counsel

Topic started on 18-3-2005 @ 05:44 AM by 00PS

WASHINGTON, DC—Cousin Wattle, the official National Thanksgiving Turkey who was to have been pardoned by President Bush in an annual White House ceremony that dates back to the Truman administration, is currently being held without formal charges or access to legal counsel, White House press secretary Scott McClellan confirmed Tuesday. “We can’t have two big turkeys in the White House; we have the President and that’s enough.” Also, rumors that Jesus will be in attendance at the White House Thanksgiving feast are unfounded. Jesus has been attending Arafat’s funeral and will be unable to make his appearance in Washington. Christmas, on the other hand, is guaranteed.
