True LadyV, specially when the porn Industry is a BILLION dollar profit thing... how could they make BILLIONS if their product was free???

It's hare to believe that in this day and age, there are still millions of people out there not running any sort of protection (firewall, virus
scanners) on their computers...and then they whine when something goes wrong.

Don't even need to know what they are, just have them. IDK what a firewall is, IE what all the techoese stuff, but I have one cause Jeff put it on
here. Finally figured a way to get online without having to turn it off.
Also, I only go to certain sites, here,(ATS, BTS, PTS, ATSNN) Gamefaq for codes/walkthroughs, google, and Jeff Cam.(When he has it up, it funny,
refreshes every 30 seconds, and he always seems to know when to flip the bird to the camera or some other crude gesture)

The main thing is to understand there is no such thing as a free lunch.
No one is sitting in a room designing gorgeous 3D screen savers and saying "here i just worked a month on this, have it as my gift to you".
There is a price for everything. When you download those, you're getting a preview of something, loaded with ads, encouraging you to either buy the
full version of the product, or to buy some other products.
Now, the p2p things are another story entirely. Be it illegally pirated software, or music or games etc, chances are these days you will get a virus
if you use kazaa etc long enough. Sometimes it isn't even intentional. Some viruses are programmed to spread themselves by appearing automatically
in any folder that contains the word "share" in it. The reason is because people want their viruses to spread as fast as possible and they know
that people are logged into those damned things all day.
The safest bet (and i'll get yelled at for this I bet) is to stay the hell off of those things to begin with. My old PC had kazaa, my new one
doesn't. My new one has no problems. I doubt that is a coincedence.
