Perhaps... but isn't it funny how us human beings don't really get the prophesy untill it happens? "Ohh, now i get it, i can't believe i read all
the signs wrong." Actually it is our human subjectivity that interperents things to our own way. Look at the Bible. Many people took the beginings of
Bible literal. Then after science it shook that very foundation, it crippled bias, yet many remain. Up to modern day the Catholic Hierarchy desided
that in the book of Genesis should be read as
symbolic.
Even the people of His time had trouble realizing that Jesus was the messiah. There are countless answers on this. But people look for all the
literal aspects of every subject. Mabey we shouldn't descipher prophesies as
literal completely and leave enough room for symbolic
representation.
The left side of Mary, Mary herself, the sword, the left hand, the sword spitting fire, could all be symbolic representations of the prophesy...
perhaps the third prophesy of Fatima relates to the coming of some powerful force, be it good or bad...
