A friend of mine is having real trouble at the moment.
He installed a programme, some PC accelerator and didn't think much of it. So he uninstalled it and ever since then...
All the shortcuts on his desktop now point to My Documents and many programmes only bring up the command prompt window for a brief second, then do
nothing else.
Unfortunately system restore was not activated so that route is not available and a reinstall of Windows XP (using the second repair option) has had
no effect either.
Many anti-virus and spyware programmes have been run but return with nothing.
Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.
