I read of some concerns, mostly regarding the
scanning of the text in your messages to determine focused ads on the side, which I think is a minor concern, even though it has been the major issue
of contention. The scanning is automated, and as long as no records are kept and no information is sent to third parties, then there isn't a problem.
The other, IMO more pressing concern, is that apparently even when you delete a message, there is no guarantee in the Terms of Service that it will be
deleted from the google servers. Why would they need to keep all of your messages? In fact, you'd think that would be the last thing they'd want to
do since it would use up so much space.
