Jury awards ex-Hooters waitress $275,000

Come on you have to be kidding me. $275,000 for getting looked at? I think this is another extreme case of lawyers getting ahold of something and not letting go. I agree the girl had grounds for a complaint, but Hooter's is not known for its innocent appeal, she worked there by choice!

CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- A former waitress at Hooters, the restaurant chain known for scantily clad servers, was awarded $275,000 in a lawsuit over peepholes in a dressing room.

One more reason our legal system is so screwed up, crazy amounts awarded, the courts are clogged with this kind of suit that the legitimate ones get lost in the shuffle.

In all fairness she was being looked at through a peep-hole, that is different than being looked at while working. I am sure that most people would not want people doing a peeping tom while getting dressed and undressed. Would you want a camera in your bathroom?

As for the amount of money, well I agree with you, its seems a little high.

Maybe she bored the holes herself...
